Authentication methods
According to regulations and especially PSD2 by default all payments should be confirmed by the customer using SCA (Strong Customer Authentication). Depending on the customer and contract conditions there are different options and also exceptions.
LHV Connect currently supports following options:
Direct Processing
Payment files are submitted in XML format and processed instantly, without additional user actions or confirmations. No SCA is needed. This option is typically available only for Service Providers licensed by Estonian FI or UK FCA - including those from the EU and EEA. Separate daily and monthly limits for Connect payments are followed. Virtual or Agency account payments are possible only using this option. Also additional contract appendix must be signed to use this possibility and additional security measures are agreed with the customer.

Pending Payments
Payment files are submitted in XML format, but not processed instantly. Payments must be confirmed in the Internet bank under Pending payments section and can be signed and confirmed only there. This follows the typical SCA process and is mostly used by companies not holding any PSP license. Only after confirmation the payments are processed and debited from the account. Internet Bank daily and monthly limits and acceptance rate is applied.
