# Verification of Payee Services

Verification of Payee (VOP) is a fraud prevention service that checks whether the name of a payee matches the IBAN provided by the payer before a payment is made. It helps to ensure that payments are sent to the correct recipient, reducing the risk of misdirected payments and scams.
